The euphemistic treatment of Islamism dating from 9/11 and GWB’s “war on terror” actually began the charade of not calling radical Islam what it is. An antediluvian death cult dedicated to destruction of any non believers. He first called his operation the Crusade against terror or something like that. The word crusade was dropped when it was criticized as being anti-Islamic due to its reference to The Crusades. It is beyond time to call Islamism what it is, a danger to mankind. The Left has used Islamophobia exactly as they use the race card regarding non caucasians when they are being criticized. Political correctness needs to be sent to the dustbin unless we all have a death wish.

There's another morbid, metaphysical death cult that makes violent trouble in our world. It is the current neomarxist, neo bolshevik godless activism that engulfs the under-40yo. I dread the day that our heathen euro- born bolsheviks form a working alliance w the killing machine known as Islam.

Haven’t they already?

Seems not so to me. Instead seems our domestic bolsheviks (mostly antifa, blm, and obnoxious green hair, nose ringed fems & kweerz) not militarized and suicidal, as are our domestic jew- hating imams & their congregations. They are grim, suicidal soldiers. Very disturbing.

The indoctrination of youth in the Muslim world, and even here in the United States, has troubled me too. I had hoped that globalism might actually improve the situation, with Saudi Arabia and Qatar seeing that there was both economic and intellectual value in tempering their Medieval beliefs. MBS gives the impression that he'd like to live in a less confrontational world, and women do drive in Saudia Arabia now. But the religious teachings are still tribal and bloodthirsty. And don't even get me started on Iran and the Houthis.

But globalism is diminishing in influence and whatever replaces it will possibly lead to increasing tribalism worldwide. Unless we in the west (north-west?) come up with a viable alternative to globalism, something that is not the zero-sum game that Islam represents, I don't see a peaceful resolution to our present evolution.

Thank you for starting this discussion, Roger/Sheryl. We as a nation with a new administration coming into office, and as leader of the western world, need (as you say) to start developing a new Grand Strategy. Does Marco Rubio have what it takes to move the State Department in that direction? Will the people staffing that department allow him to do so?

We should know by this time next year. Wish us luck -- we'll need plenty of that.

The indoctrination of youth in the Jewish world is also troubling - especially in the US. The Zionist “Birthright” project exists solely to turn Jews against their country of citizenship so much that a worrisome percentage of theseAmerican elect to serve in a foreign military rather than serving in the military of their own country. Maybe it’s just a Middle Eastern tribal thing.

Just out of curiosity, how do you define globalism?

Expand full comment

The integration of people, trade, capital and political ideology. Usually envisioned at the expense of free markets and to the advantage of centrally-planned economies.

(What a coincidence, huh?). This is a very abbreviated definition, but you get the point.

Thanks. However, doesn't it omit the power structure, the rules, regulations and laws, and doesn't it neglect individualism? It would give a relatively tiny number of people at the top total power, and isn't that what the WEF/UN, etc., are pushing for? The globalist movement has resulted in the chaos of mass migrations with no time for assimilation (clearly intended), the outbreak of wars, the spread of diseases, the opportunity to inflict harmful "cures" on humanity, and a push for a single world, programmable, centrally controlled, digital currency which would enable a totalitarianism with no options, literally enslave everyone and pave the way for depopulation to any scale that the rulers want. While it may look like the desire for globalism is diminishing, it would be unwise to believe that their movement is dead. For now they are shifting their activities to Africa and other areas where there is less media attention. Technology has provided massive surveillance capabilities in the form of tiny cameras and drones, and AI will be used to resurrect the movement when the time is deemed right. Credible people inside the movement willing to risk exposing the plans of the WEF/UN, etc., are needed. But will there ever be any? I prefer life and tribalism, as dead humans cannot fix anything.

I would include the power structure under “political ideology.”

Since the USSR of 1919 to 1991 was the Cabal's first experiment with world government, then we can assume that proponents wish globalist government to be also godless homicidal communist government. Indeed, let's see what ensues during the forthcoming Great Seven Year Tribulation Period that God has in mind for those Left Behind.

this indoctrination exists. In West Philly, just outside of Penn and Drexel campuses, we see this in action. Provided that nobody infringes on others while they pursue their freedom, they are consistent with the US Constitution. If there is harm, action needs to be taken.

“So before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world. And all of us against the infidel.”

Is this Uris, the Zionist propagandist? Nothing like such unbiased input as a reference.

As per, “ A land without people for a people without land…“?

As one critic wrote in an obituary, “Uris portrayed the Zionist state in such glowing terms that some critics said “Exodus” verged dangerously on propaganda. “Few readers are expert enough to be 100% certain where Mr. Uris’ imagination has taken over the record,” a critic wrote in the Christian Science Monitor.

Can we please get it straight that not every Palestinian is a Muslim? Many of them are Christians who do not support Islam. If you want to write about the ridiculousness of "Islamophobia", well and good, but please at least distinguish Palestinian Christians from Palestinian Muslims. Nobody else is doing so.

Sorry about that. I should have. I am well aware of the distinction having been in the region four times with another coming shortly. The distinction was quite visible to me on visits to Bethlehem, before and after the Oslo Accords. Before, when under Israeli control, it was a peaceful place (though very touristic) with many Palestinian Christian prelates moving about. After Oslo, the Palestinian Authority took control and many, probably most, of Palestinian Christians Feld, many to Israel proper. When I visited afterwards, Bethlehem was, to put it kindly, no longer a happy place.

It's never "Catholicismophobia" when Catholics are denigrated, harassed, and historic contributions erased, due to their beliefs. Pro-lifers are variously viewed as evil, anytime a protest occurs and it's reported on the news.

Which is nuts in its own right, but a flavor of the same. When a standard isn't usually applied, there's a reason. It's OK and rational to fear reality when it's driving you down on a street in New Orleans.

Watching the video of the Philadelphia Islamic schoolchildren being brainwashed by their Muslim teachers is similar to watching soulless men and women train fighting dogs to literally rip apart "normal" (victim) dogs. They are both inhuman practices.

Last I looked, Philadelphia was still in the United States of America, where (to my knowedge) it is illegal to teach such things to children.

Why then have the local or state police -- or the FBI -- evidently done NOTHING to stop such evil practices, not only in PA but throughout the nation?

"Islamophobia" my butt. It's an evil system that needs to be removed from our country.

The answer is pretty clear. Ignorant leftist voters elect leftist officials Then they wonder why their streets are filled with crap, crime is rampant, homeless, mental illness, and drug addiction are all over the place, and their kids can't read, write or do arithmetic, but they can shoot each other. But who the hell cares, after all, they have good intentions, so they don't need police and don't care when foreign gangs take over, or that all the theft results in businesses leaving, and when they are all gone, what will they eat?

Tommy Robinson ,presently jailed in England, on a ridiculous charge. being served in an isolation cell for 18 months has finally drawn the attention from Elon Musk. He has been exposing Islamic crimes in that country for a decade and has paid a massive personal cost. Please people , focus your eyes on this situation. Read Tommys book "Enemy of The State". Written a number of years ago,it is a real eye opener to the criminality of that state.

And may I add one more truth to your excellent column? Has there ever been ANY outcry from supposed “peaceful believers of Islam” about the heinous crimes the “Islamist extremists” reign down on all Jews and any and all human beings who do not practice Islam? The answer is a resounding “NO.” EVERY practitioner of Islam must believe it’s their duty to kill ALL nonbelievers, even if they have to sacrifice their own lives to do so. Until and unless EVERY person living— who chooses to practice beliefs of their own, beliefs that are not Islam—recognizes the truth about Islamic believers, we will have to continue to fight for our right for our very existence. Islam is not a religion. It is a doctrine that is brainwashed into the minds of people who can’t or won’t think for themselves.

What do we expect when our prominent politicians, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Charley Schumer, and others accuse their fellow Americans of this "crime" against Islam? If I remember HRC was calling out every phobia there was against DJT, in the debates. In my opinion, when our leader takes the office on 1-20-25, he needs to publicly announce to the world, that if these terrorist attacks can be traced back to Iran, that all hellfire and brimstone is coming their way. Also warn the NATO members that they will also stand against these barbarians. The only thing they know is violence, and should be met with the same. Our very survival depends on this. Schools in this country that are allowed to teach the destruction of America, should be shuttered on day one!

They want the destruction of Western Civilization. Is it any different than the Muslims invading and taking over Constantinople, turning it into Istanbul?

BTW, both perps were ex-Army. People I know that are retired servicemen who served in Iraq/Afghanistan have said if there was a Civil War between Big Govt Types and Small Govt Types, at least 50% of the military, FBI/CIA would be on the side of Big Govt....they want their pensions.

We have this in Canada as well. At one of my high schools in Toronto, we rented space to a weekend Muslim grade school. They were fastidious in cleaning up every scrap of paper their children worked on during the weekend, except twice.

On those two occasions four pages of seat work were brought to my attention. On three of those pages the children had drawn pictures and written phrases which carried messages of violence. Very, very different in tenor to what one normally sees in a grade school setting.

The moral calculus in the middle east seems to be that there (super) majority Muslim states that can live ona world with Israel and are making their peace with that and staying out of the conflict. There are others that can’t and between them and Israel it’s a war of annihilation as their world view does not allow for its existence specifically and Jews in general. October 7 was the last last straw.
