As a lifetime tennis fan who long ago saw the teenage Jimmy Connors battle a forty-something Pancho Gonzales and has been a mediocre player myself since roughly age seven, I have been glued to my TV this year watching an enthralling US Open.
Politics in sports? Of course, and at many levels pro and amateur. If the current abysmal administration is re-elected, it will be a major win for the MSM. God help us defeat the evil MSM/incumbent admin.

My daughter swims for the local Y team. She is 12. At that age, there is a marked difference in the time between girls and boys. Even at the mini stage, the boys are faster. The gap only grows as the children age into Senior status in High School and College. The records for boys and girls are hanging on the walls in the hallway for each event. It is VERY obvious. No biological male should ever compete against a female.
Roid rage, people acting extremely aggressively and violent on testosterone, has been known for quite some time. Why wouldn't it affect the Nashville killer?

I just read the manifesto by the Nashville school shooter. I will not use her name because I don't want to give her publicity that might encourage other screwed-up people to do similar things, but I will say she left a manifesto that leaves little doubt she was very troubled. And the question has to be asked: how much of what she was going through is a result of the drugs she was taking? And how many other people who are currently taking these drugs are similarly troubled? There is more to this thought that we can change our sex than just cutting off body parts and taking a few drugs, and than starting a new life. And it is being undertaken in a rather cavalier fashion, with little thought to the ramifications. Time to put the brakes on this until we learn more.
On the subject of evolution: certainly there is evidence of micro but not macro evolution which claims that one species has transitioned to another species over time. If this were so, the fossil record would have produced the "Missing Link," but alas, none have been found after 175+ years.
Thank you sir. Well done. I think it may have something to do with the food supply. Very little of what we eat is real food with any nutritional value. The other thing is the money. Lots of money being spent. And power, so mesmerizing. Changing an entire society to your will.
Thanks for shedding your light on truth about politics and sports-particularly about men choosing to be female in gender. I believe in the scientific proof that there are only two genders—male or female. Of course there are anomalies; but these anomalies are not chosen. I was glad to see that coach sport that hat at the Women’s Open. After all, the hat’s letters depict truth. And as the French like to say, “vive la dif·fé·rence.”
Great article Roger as always. I will not comment on the boy v girl, girl v boy, boy v boy, girl v girl, etc. etc. etc. as I am sick and tired of the entire damn thing now!! I love tennis as it was the best individual sport I played back when my knees and hips were my originals! Lacrosse was my go-to team sport and miss playing that game to this day (I'm 70 now but can still toss a lax ball with the best of them!) Finally, here is my advice on your serve; close your eyes and pray for divine intervention! God bless America, our military and our Veterans!
Never assume that peak gender madness has reached its peak -- these pushers are always re-grouping and planning to get the upper hand on us the next time, usually when you least expect it.
I've learned that lesson a million times: often self-servingly assuming at first that PC(or wokeness) has run its course and things will begin to re-balance themselves, but, with enough hindsight, I almost always realize that I've been wrong. The common sense that I long for just never interceded the way I'd hoped and assumed it would.
Indeed, from Rocket Rod to Renee Richards to the modern stars tennis has encapsulated societal meanderings. As Simon loyalists, we understand the political undertones of the back and forth sporting extravaganza. Quite frankly, though, I’d much rather be shoulder to shoulder with another mix of characters who team with another set of world class athletes that are immune to human biases. Go team rope and cast aside the indecency of human drama. The horse is immune to intrigue. He will offer honesty and he will set the stage to demand it back in trade. Likewise, the politics of the sport is consistently one sided and predictable. No neer-do-wells allowed.
