If he asks her questions about flip flopping and her husband's abuse of women, great. If he lets her interject millions of times that she accepted a debate on Fox and Trump didn't, bad.

News is being crushed by podcasts which are in depth.

Trump did the right thing. He didn't need to give Kamala any inadvertent 'recognition' and he probably guesses she will toss her own word salad, once again. Bair better be the vinegar and hang her by her own petard. Then again, he might not have the cojones to go against those who write his paycheck.

Brett Bair doesn't have the GUTS to confront Kamala. He has gone WOKE!

Bret Baier, a weak anchor, receives $7 million per year in salary from Fox and is estimated to have a net worth of $30 million. A working type of reporter? Not really. A very poor interviewer. He didn’t lay a glove on DHS Secretary Mayorkas interview. I have very low expectations he will be a solid interviewer of Harris.

Important point, Richard. The outrageous salaries these people are paid for nothing is the essence of the problem. They are bribed... and how... to be bland and pointless, thus preserving the status quo. It's a hateful system really.

They're just following suit to the graft politicians succumb to within their first year. How many bartenders become millionaires after one year?

I couldn’t agree with your analysis more. Fox News died when they prematurely called Arizona for Biden almost 4 years ago. We watch Greg Gutfeld and that’s it. People are tired of being lied to. They know that Fox isn’t on our side. Hell, word has it Martha MacCallum’s best friend is Stephen Colbert. They are all a bunch of hypocrite elites. I pray you are right and they are carted off to the dust hills of history.

Haven't watched Fox in several years. Saw their bias when Lachlan Murdoch, and his wife were being interviewed, and she lovingly looked in his eyes and said "We did it." This was on election night in 2020! In my opinion it is not the "news" stations that should affect the outcome of anything. Their job is to tell us the truth. Period!

Insightful as always Roger. It's interesting to me that the granddaddy of "Talking-head news at 6 o'clock," Walter Cronkite, warned in his autobiography that the medium he popularized could spell the end of democracy down the road. How prophetic his words have become but hopefully we can still eek out a win with things like substack and Elon's leadership.

Brett has his history books, which he purports to research and write. He needs to at least press Harris on her plagiarism, and plagiarizing press releases and Wikipedia no less. It may be small potatoes, but it does reveal character.

The only people that watch ABC, CBS, or MSNBC are the buffoon liberals that froth at the mouth with excitement when they hear all that anti-Trump rhetoric. They probably won't tune in to the Fox interview, just like they avoid Newsmax like the plague. Some will, and Baier will either steer them to the truth or follow the democrat narrative. Like you said, he will either die or succeed depending on the direction he takes them. He has evolved so far from real journalism in the past few years that I have no faith he will give people only the truth. He will throw in enough democrat BS to save his butt from extinction. And Fox will enter the realm of the CBSs and help continue the country on a path to destruction.

Great article.

I dislike and don't trust Fox News for two reasons in particular: Paul Ryan for obvious reasons, and the obnoxiously early Arizona call in 2020. It was a cruel finger to conservative viewers who played a big part in the network's success. It was surreal. Sure the call stuck, and well done, but it was deliberately designed to enrage us. All my feelings were hurt. ha

At least the zaftig smarty pants Chris Stirewalt was sacked over it.

You've inspired me to find NewsMax. Thank you, Mister Simon.

I quite Fox in 2020, except for Tucker. Now we have totally cut cable. We only get news via Substacks, various online news aggregators, a few opinion sites and occasionally we use Real America's Voice for a live event.

No Facebook or Instagram--we've maintained Linkedin for professional reasons only.

Reading and hearing news limits, imho, the ability to manipulate the reader/viewer via images. And it gives me far more time (reading much faster than listening) to seek out multiple sources for information.

MSM is dying too slow a death.

I'd rather watch the SpongeBob SquarePants Halloween special than this interview!!

I understand your skepticism, and I know Kamala is grasping at straws right now so will accept an interview with Fox, but I am hopeful that Bret Baier will poke at her a little. Just enough to kill her fundraising. That's probably overly optimistic, but that's the way I'm hanging right now.

Is Christopher Ruddy of Newsmax any better than the Murdoch sons? He owns about 40% of Newsmax. Who are the other owners? Newsmax has contributed $1 million to the Clinton Foundation.

We all know since the old man Murdock retired, his sons have taken over and they are far from Conservative. However, Fox is enough to the right, we still watch and listen. We need MANY more Conservative news stations. We do NOT need liberal “news” stations who are fine being Biden’s weapon against America, against Conservative patriots.

Faux News opened its kimono when it called Arizona early for Obama's Punch & Judy Show. Haven't watched a millisecond since.
