I for one are a little tired of being called a bitter clinger, a deplorable in a basket and now a garbage Nazi. President Trump was not my first choice in 2016 or 2024 but he is and was my choice for president. I think historic that I along with millions of other Americans will have the opportunity to vote for the same man for President three times. I pray for our Republic and hope we all find a little peace on November 6th.

I agree and I now warn people that bitter clinger, deplorable, Nazi, garbage expressed to mewill be treated the same as the "N" word (that I can't say cause of the censors) but is a fighting word. Call me names at your peril.

One thing is for sure Roger: regardless of who is in the Whitehouse, God is still on the throne and is sovereign over the affairs of all men, in every nation. This means that whether itis smooth or rough waters, those who trust in Him, will come out ahead in the eternal scheme of things.

“This was, unsurprisingly, a 6-3 decision with Associate Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Ketanji Brown Jackson and Elena Kagan not agreeing to remove the foreigners’ names.” Not a surprise when at least one of the three can’t even say what a woman is. So being unable to differentiate what a citizen has an exclusive right to do is consistent.

Bibi, the leader everyone loves to hate has been able to guide the Jewish State between Scylla (FJB, Columbia U, NYT) and Charybdis (Iran, Europe) and is now giving the feckless Western leaders an example of what leaders are supposed to do. DJT is our Bibi! If only we could have confidence that our elections were trustworthy!

I am SO tired of this election season. My iPhone pings more than a hundred times a day with messages saying "this is the most important message you'll get today." To them it surely is; to me not so much. I gave all I was prepared to give early on in the campaign season thinking that was when it was most useful. Hah. Useful only for sharing my text address -- 'here's a sucker with money!'

And despite all the agitation we have lived through for five months, the two candidates are still tied. Think how much joy could have been spread in this world if the 1.7 Billion that has been spent on this campaign had been spent on something with intrinsic value, like woopee cushions or kazoos (made in America).

When the dust from this campaign has settled I hope both major parties will have learned an important lesson: if you want to win an election, nominate a good candidate. And especially don't nominate someone simply because they check a certain demographic box. Oh who am I kidding -- neither party has learned anything from this campaign. Remember Biden's words more than four years ago? That he would name as his VP candidate a woman of color? We all see how that turned out. He should have told his supporters he would name a member of Tren de Aragua -- they have better name recognition now than Kamala.

I was a career Foreign Service Officer for 30 years, trying (among other things) to explain to people in the countries where I was stationed what was happening in the USA. I cannot tell you how happy I am now retired and no longer trying to explain what we've been up to this year.

So I hear you, Roger. We, as a nation, are not covering ourselves in glory with what we're doing now. And there's a good chance things will only get worse. How's that for optimism?

the party that kills text messaging fundraising wins the next ten elections in a landslide

Sorry but the dust from this campaign will never settle. Swamp creatures are never defeated, they just become more malevolent.

Bullseye every thing you said. Among all the things I will be praying for is the text message madness ends. I also donated all that I intended to early on but I have to say I am embarrassed at my naivete where the use of my email was in reference to my donation. Not smart.

Sorry, forgot to wish everyone a Happy Halloween and thanks to the 39% increase in candy, I can't afford to purchase my Baby Ruth bars this year (Don't need the sugar anyway at my age!) God bless America, our military, Veterans and our dedicated community services personnel.

My local supermarket had a "sale" on a big bag (about 4lbs) of Halloween candy for - get this - $24.99. That's right folks, you save a whole DOLLAR! lol

Roger,

I know you want to ascribe a higher level of cognition to Joe Biden. But as others have said; there's no "there" there. He's just a crabby old man now. Frankly, he has my sympathy as his behavior is typical of early stage dementia.

But you have to love the memes...hilarious.

Didn’t someone in the democrat party —-or was it the press? or Who? who said Trump must stop his “name calling?” I guess those requesting this name calling must be stopped so that certain other voices might be heard? Well “sticks and stones…..” but my vote will never hurt me! Trump will win—he’s already winning.

Despite Biden's impaired cognition, he revealed who leftists really are. I have no doubt that the vast majority of Democrats agree with him and wish that they were free enough to openly concur without doing damage to Harris/Walz.

Biden has lost the ability to put sentences together. He speaks so quickly that he takes clauses from one sentence and drops them into another where they don't belong. He's been uttering fatuous phrases for so long he can't keep the syntax straight.

I'm 76 and had a brain bleed six years ago from getting banged up in the Jersey Shore surf. I had to have a craniotomy. I had symptoms of a stroke briefly for two days after surgery. I couldn't speak coherently or text or do any thing conversational. Biden is having the same symptoms.

As for voting, I voted in Kendall County, Texas the other day and and was handed a paper ballot that I inserted into voting machine with an electronic screen. I made my choices with a pencil eraser on the screen and then the ballot was returned to me. I put it into a vote counting machine and was given a receipt with my choices on it. So I think the process was clean, but who knows? I'm in a mostly Republican County and I'm sure officials are working to that end. Your mileage may vary . . .

Btw, the polls were packed and the parking lots full for several days at our county office. Both Democrats and Republicans had little tents set up to answer questions from voters. I suspect the Trump tide was very strong. Trump is up ten points in Texas but Ted Cruz is only up four. If you are a Texan, get out there and cast a ballot.

The title of Mr. Simon's column today and the question about what kind of Nazi is being referred to by the Left's reckless barrage of the term 'Nazi', reminds me of recent statements by talk-show host Dennis Prager. The Salem Radio Network stalwart has recently described how the casual and frequent use of the contentious word by the Left against Donald Trump only cheapens and dilutes the meaning of the term: 'Nazi'.

The improper use of the word must surely be hurtful and injurious to actual survivors of the Holocaust !

Thanks to the ongoing epidemic of insanity from both parties, I now am happy to say that my new moniker is 'Mr. Deplorable, Mr. Garbage, Mr. Nazi fatalist Jim!!' Blacks hate the whites, Iran hates the Jews, China hates Taiwan, Russia hates Ukraine, the Left hates the Right, Right hates the left, the 'View' hates Trump, Fox hates the View and basically, as I see it now, EVERYBODY hates EVERYBODY!! How much farther can our society sink? Is rational thinking now deteriorating to irrational thinking at every level?
