After the West is taken over by Islamic fecundity and self destruction, China may ironically be the only entity able to engage those Islamic hoards. Just saying.

Conservatives own most of the much discussed 350+ million weapons and trillions of rounds.

There will be no muslim takeover in the U.S.

That said, Europe is finished because they have no weapons.

While domestically the left here is licking the koranus, MAGA and this admin are bombing the snot out of them. Admiring the chicoms for doing the opposite is foolish.

Xi's party also benefits from forced organ harvesting.

Roger Simon's avatar

Very much so. For a long time, Americans who had trouble getting transplants here or found them to be too expensive would travel to China for new kidneys without realizing that they had been stolen by regime agents from Falun Gong and other dissidents.

Stop with the sensational canards. Europe is finished, America is not (yet). If the liberal sickness is allowed to continue, then we may as well throw in with the Frogs and Huns.

Yes, Xi understands that if you don't win, you lose.

So do all the Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs. So does Putin.

This is what made Soros what he is, too. He is determined to destroy the world and remake it as he chooses it to be.

And even Hitler--if that person whose name is unknown to history hadn't stolen Hitler's dog in the midst of WWI perhaps my great-great-uncle Noakh, his wife and four adult daughters wouldn't have been murdered in Uman by the Nazis.

Trump has been affected a little differently from these, though, by everything he's endured to make it to this place. right now, in history. The brutal cunning that got him through to the 2016 victory, that was the right faculty for then. Something in him has mellowed to an acceptance of whatever fate brings and that however much time he's got left he's using it now to do exactly as he wants. I don't think even those in the GOP pretending to be on his side understand the man he is now. Xi might sense it though. We'll see.

"I don't think even those in the GOP pretending to be on his side understand the man he is now. Xi might sense it though. We'll see."

That is well said, SCA. Maybe a small number of GOP actually get who Trump is. I like to think so, anyway.

Unfortunately most of them do get who he is and hope to outlast him.

Whatever words we use--transformative, consequential, etc.--he is a unique force.

PS: I will regret not being able to comment when/if you begin restricting access to paid subscribers. I enjoy reading you even while I often disagree with some of your perspectives.

Edit: Re the GOP I mean that they don't understand he has nothing to lose now. They may see him as in his lame-duck term but he sees himself as "now or never, and it's gonna be now." He owes nothing to anyone; it's not his job to preserve Congressional control; it's theirs and they are doing their best to lose.

Then there was Obama, Biden and perhaps Harris. They also had nothing to lose and all hate America.

America is blessed to have Trump. If you are a Jihadist or a Communist then you prbably don't like him, though.

SCA's avatar

Your analysis is incorrect I think. The Democrats intended to build a structure that could not be torn down.

You also lump three people together when it ought to be a group of two. Obama and Harris, like Mamdani, have no interior sense of self. They were therefore perfect instruments.

Biden has been a vile mediocrity all his life and was also therefore a perfect instrument but he has always had a far too great sense of self.

And--to paraphrase Julia Roberts in that movie--what would you like me to be?

John Galt III's avatar

"The Democrats intended to build a structure that could not be torn down."

Well, it is Collectivism whether it is of the Communist, Islamic, Fascist or Nationalist Socialist varieties. They get torn down all the time.

The difference today is that, the Democrats are openly Collectivist and are not hiding it any more. Or at least they are not hiding it very well.

The reason is that these regimes are all based on resentment, envy and hatred. They just leave a trail of millions of bodies in their wake. The 1,000 Year Reich lasted 12 years. The USSR lasted 70 or so. Sucks for the people who have to live throught them, but it doesn't last. Doomed to failure - just a question of time.

As far as Trump is concerned Salena Zito got it right: "The press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally.”

Trump is an extremely damaged person but he finally met his moment and rose to it. Few people do. This has been a rough era to live through and if so many of us had not experienced harms that can never be remedied, it would be in its way a thrilling time. We're all a bit weary of having constantly to contend with strong emotions I think.

I like Salena, but her job is wordsmithing so she smiths.

A very informative column. Thank you, Roger. It's a crime that our national press does not give us more in-depth information on foreign leaders who challenge us.

The seizure of Kharg Island would be a good start. I would also like to see American forces and engineers seize the remaining enriched uranium.

Good column, Roger. This is only the second time I’ve seen in print reference to Xi’s family background of Cultural Revolution oppression and his own reaction in adulthood to institute neo-Maoism.

Thank you, Roger! I love cozy little bios like Xi's.... Enjoyed your lovely leading graphics also! Praying it may be prophetic....

Good article with helpful historical background of Xi and how his family suffered under Mao.

Too bad our legacy media is too busy shilling for Globalist Progressive elites.

John Galt III's avatar

If I were Trump i wouldn't pull any surprises. He is in a country that has a regime that totally detests America. Xi could murder Trump and have it all staged so it wasn't his fault.

Xi's daughter went to Harvard under an alias. Twice I think - 2 separate degrees. I wonder if she ever learned anything positive about us. Then again she was at a Communist University in Communist Cambridge, MA so probably felt quite at home.

He and his family are steeped in Tyranny and corruption. They have the blood of thousands of innocents and people in this country still embrace him as a hero.

Thanks for the real history lesson. I think Xi Jinping’s choice to become another version of Mao is certainly a reason to evaluate and question Xi’s mental acuity. In the light, it appears that Xi chooses to become just another version of the man who destroyed him and his family. That’s a sickness not to be dismissed.

Fascinating history. What Xi learned is that 1) Mao failed, 2) Deng rescued the country from collapse via the military + limited economic freedom. In the shark-tank political maneuvering after Deng, he has used the tactic of denouncing “corruption” to advance his career. When he succeeded in climbing the greasy pole to the top, he then seized the chance to build a new Imperial state, like the old dynasties, but with himself as the emperor. His recent rampage through the military leadership, arresting and convicting most of the senior officers, reveals a fearful, likely paranoid individual obsessed with control. He has considerable skill in building bureaucracies that protect his power, yet has never been able to establish trust in his own handpicked advisors … every year there is a purge against “corrupt” members of his own staff …

Although I appreciate the insight into Xi's background it doesn't portend how he (and the commies) will govern. Roger could have written a similar refrain about Hitler, his humiliation after WWI, failures as an artist, witnessing Germany's humiliation after WWI, blah, blah, blah, and we know how that turned out. Let's face it, Xi is no Gorbachev and he's not tearing down any wall. To suggest otherwise, is as foolish as "W" proclaiming that all that the Paleo's wanted was to vote and be free. Chinese culture and mindset dictate otherwise and they will never adopt free markets, individual rights, and a just society.
