Amen, brother. Like you, these recent hobby horses by Carlson and Bannon have been a shock to me, as many of their previous insights seem to have been well founded. I pray that both men look into their own souls, and will turn away from this oldest bias of antisemitism.

In calling them out, Roger, I'm reminded of Bill Buckley when he sadly came to the conclusion that remarks by his friend Pat Buchanan in 1991 were objectively antisemitic. Wrote Mr. Buckley at the time: "I am prepared to say that anybody who would permit Israel to go down militarily is probably motivated by anti-Semitism."

My more secular, skeptical side -- not, I hope, conspiritorial side -- wonders what direct or indirect incentives might be involved. For example, if Moses Wine were looking into such a case in 2025, he might seek to ferret out any links between these two Internet influencers and the government of Qatar. Or cutouts and intermediaries that are linked to that Hamas- and Muslim Brotherhood-supporting Islamist autocracy. This is a conjecture, not proven, but perhaps a field for inquiry.

Thanks for your heartfelt commentary. Your witness about Bethlehem pre- and post-Oslo illuminates the clear and present danger of a Fatah-led two-state solution.
